As a very creative youth interested in art, tattoo artist Jun Cha realized his true craft at 16. Growing up in Santa Monica and West L.A., Cha gravitated toward the streets, which eventually led him to Eastlake Juvenile Hall where tattooing came to light after constantly being exposed to it. “I saw opportunity,” the 20-year-old artist says. “Opportunity tuned into potential, which turned into inspiration then evolved into discipline and focus—something I never had when I was younger.” Turning a bad situation into a life-long career, Cha is an up-and-coming tattoo artist ready to make a name for himself and his art, having worked under other greats such as Mr. Cartoon and Jose Lopez of Low Rider Tattoo Studios. He’s already tattooed the likes of Jermaine Dupri, Drama from MTV’s “Fantasy Factory,” and Queen’s of the Stone Age’s Joes Castillo. But skin art isn’t his only forte; the Pasadena Art Center student also likes to express his creativity on canvas, which provides an entirely different satisfaction from tattooing.

There are individuals who synonymous with their craft.  From their carefully developed methods to the rich history they establish across the years, there are certain people that manage to evoke a sense of being larger-than-life.  Rick Walters is such a person, serving as one of the prominent and most respected tattoo artists in the industry.  Even since his days as a young child Rick’s early venture in inking began with a needle and ink, stirring up trouble as a result.  Not one to be deterred, however, this young ambition developed into a fully-fledged craft that has spanned well over 40 years.

Here is some even scary news: in the battle of commercials during the big game it seems the conservative right is winning. Go Daddy, the monster of a web hosting company has been no stranger to controversial ads. This time around, the company produced a commercial with pitch girl Danica Patrick that features a former football player (fictional), who begins an online lingerie company called Lola. Highly ambiguous, wearing a pink velour tracksuit and primping scantily clad women in lingerie, CBS decided to yank the commercial.
